La Madeleine has been run by a family team since October 2016.​Ed Pitts one of the owners and Head Chef was delighted to take on such an amazing venue; “Ever since I’ve been cooking I’ve dreamed about running my own place, so to get that opportunity with La Madeleine is everything I could have wanted; we put the emphasis firmly on great food and drink, served by friendly passionate staff” French cuisine is the starting point for the menu, whether breakfast, lunch or supper but it is a fluid style and borrows influences from many other parts of the world to create a vibrant modern menu. Our exquisite First Class carriage café, adorned with elegant art-deco elements, provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience from 10am – 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and 10am - 3pm on Sundays. Our carriage Farm Shop, open from 10am – 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and 10am - 4pm on Sundays, features fresh, seasonal, locally produced products, ensuring quality and sustainability. You can book a table for inside the café, however walk ins are welcome. We are only dog friendly outside on a lead, unless they are a service dog. The award winning Carriages restaurant is uniquely located within the allpay ltd campus in Whitestone Business Park, Hereford, and has been described as "City chic in rural Hereford". Carriages was inspired by founder Tony Killeen's passion for trains and the quirky setting of the restaurant, which overlooks the old Whitestone railway station.You can enjoy views of the rolling hills from the floor to ceiling windows in the top floor restaurant; dine inside or alfresco, on the spacious balcony, or walk the landscaped grounds surrounding the Four Seasons lake - which transforms into a maze of secret gardens, impressively lit up at night.     We've been a big fan of their sister restaurant En BBQ and En Sushi since the very early days and I couldn't wait to visit En Steak. WOW we were not disappointed! From start to finish it was amazing. We visited with our 9 year old daughter for our annual Christmas family meal, and when she tasted the steak she looked like she'd gone to heaven and back 😂 never seen her enjoy a mouthful of food more! We ordered a 1kg T-bone to share which was so so tasty. All the sides were equally delicious including the sweetcorn ribs, chips, baked oysters and Mac and cheese. My daughter then had a pudding 😂 We can't wait to visit again! 100% recommend! Next time I hope to try out the cocktail bar upstairs which looks fab

    We went out for my birthday and it was an amazing night. Excellent service and the food was absolutely superb. Exceptional flavours and really good portions as well!

    My husband and l always enjoy going to La Madeleine's restaurant. The service is prompt, friendly and attentative. The quality of the food and beverages is of excellent quality. It is easy to make a reservation by phone and online as well. This restaurant is situated in the heart of Hereford city. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and inviting and for better weather days, there is a lovely garden to the rear of the restaurant. La Madeleine's is ideal for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. They have a tempting selection of cakes! I have no hesitation in recommending La Madeleine's restaurant.
