Sougo's cuisine is Shojin vegetarian, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients (we can also cater to vegan guests).The restaurant's mission is to bring the teachings of Shojin vegetarian cuisine to the modern age, to bring out the best of the ingredients, and to utilize all of life we receive without wasting any of it. Inspired by the soft light given off by the moon, the creators of Tsuki have designed its elaborately decorated and sophisticated dining room with dimmed, intimate lighting. Featuring primarily grilled foods, Tsuki places emphasis on the importance of hospitality and quality. Tsuki’s à la carte menu options include favorites like grilled rice balls with dried sardines and perilla, salmon and maitake mushroom donabe rice, sesame blancmange and chicken junwakei soup. Set menu meals include three courses that take the guests on a dining adventure. Add a glass of wine, beer or other spirit to complete the flavor experience. Tsuki’s private rooms are available for special celebrations and events, while the full bar offers a place to casually socialize and mingle with others.

    We visited Sougo on our first night in Tokyo. We had heard it was excellent, and it truly surpassed all our expectations. The ambience, the quality and favor profile of the food, the drinks, the attention to every small detail, the service, the extremely welcoming staff and chef: everything was perfection. The value for money for the quality you get is amazing! We will definitely be back. I would highly recommend dining there while in Tokyo!

    Very strange that I’m coming to Tokyo to enjoy American steak but Empire is a quick walk from my Roppongi hotel and the service here is top notch fantastic. It’s also friendly for solo diners and many of the salads and sides can be ordered half-size. They also carry my favorite Napa Merlot by Duckhorn. Head waiter Ito-san is about as professional and old-school as you can find anywhere these days …….all I can say is that Empire is worth the visit and cost because sometimes, no matter where you are, that craving for a juicy, rare, grass-fed USDA prime cut of beef must be fulfilled, with extreme perfection!!

    It was an amazing evening. The restaurant is downstairs and you sit around the kitchen, like a chefs table. The owner speaks english and helps you with everything. Also the menue is in english.The food is amazing. There are two menues to choose for 5.000 or 7.000 Yen which includes Sashimi, Wagyu and rice and several other dishes. We will come back, when we in Tokyo, 100% percent!!!
