The truth is, you don't become a Louisiana favorite just by putting the word "authentic" on your sign. When you've served Cajun meals as long as we have, you learn the difference between real food and a bland imitation, and our guests know it too. Grilled, fried or on ice-there's time cooked into every dish and time spent on every home cooked recipe, so that every aroma, every bite, every sip and every gathering is memorable. We've spent more than 80 years creating a recipe for something much greater than a place for a lunch break or night out. He was hired as a server and worked his way up to General Manager. Anxious and ready to be an entrepreneur and continue providing a peaceful, sophisticated dining option for Hammond and the greater NorthShore.Our executive Chef Brandon Martinez creates our menu, which evolves seasonally. While always using fresh Louisiana Seafood, Prime steaks, Lamb, Pastas and Great Desserts, cooking techniques and dishes derived from traditional Louisiana culture.

    My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant over the last few years. We have enjoyed ourselves, the food and the ambience. Tonight was different…We are not sure what the expectation is. Is the theme Tapas or regular dishes? My lamb shank was excellent, and the Eggplant appetizer however, my wife’s dish the drum was very, very small and not very tasty with bloodline. please offer bread to the table without the charge… we will come back, just trying to offer feedback

    Our steaks were cooked perfectly to medium rare and were delicious. My 12 oz. ribeye was a bit on the sinewy side but the meat on it was delicious and tender. Our waitress “Short Bailey” was so personable and attentive. We enjoyed chatting with her. It is a busy place so be sure to make a reservation. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area visiting family.

    We were there to celebrate our friends birthday. The waitress name was either Jade or Jada. She was "the best" She interacted with us and fit right in with our craziness. My husband said she could sell ice to an Eskimo. Lol. Three of the four of us got the recommended specials. Everything was delicious. It was a Monday night, so it wasn't crowded. The food is a little pricey, but for a special occasion. It is definitely a treat.

    We loved Don’s! We tried it because it was recommended by a local colleague of my husband. We loved the boudin balls-so tasty! I enjoyed my blackened fish, and my hubby loved his fried oyster Po boy. Our kids enjoyed their food too-a good kids menu is a plus for us. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
