A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal. Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. The Odeon offers reservations for indoor and outdoor dining for parties up to 6 guests. Walk-Ins are welcome. Due to demand, we are unable to hold your reservation past the time it has been booked. If you cannot be present at the time of your reservation, we will offer the table to waiting guests. If you are running late or wish to cancel, please call us at 212-233-0507. The Odeon takes the last “Open Table” Reservation at 10 pm on Sunday and Monday and 10:30 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Should you like to visit the restaurant after that time, please call 212-233-0507 to check availability. We allow 1 hour 45 minutes dining time for parties up to 2 guests and 2 hours for parties of 3-6. guests.

Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boom­box, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Continuing past the pawnshop, guests encounter a grand, circular staircase wrapped around a two-story custom chandelier, but only the adventurous will discover all that Beauty & Essex has to offer. With four distinct dining rooms (one private), two bars, a lounge, and a women’s bathroom complete with a salon including a luxurious sofa, and antique perfume bottles. The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course.     Very much enjoyed our evening. Great views and good food in the heart of Dumbo. Waterfront views if NYC, Brooklyn Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge. The whipped ricotta appetizer was excellent! Pizzas and pastas were all very good as well.

    A pleasant surprise to come upon Strange Delight- EXCELLENT warm and welcoming professional staff. Food is FRESH and plated beautifully. The overall ambiance and vibe was happy and upbeat. Great place for lunch and a nice way to enjoy a pre-Holiday meal in Brooklyn. We definitely will be back for dinner!!

    Overall amazing experience for lunch. We kept it simple and we each ordered the signature bento box. Food was outstanding and perfectly portioned. Left full and happy. Always a great time at Nobu!!

    Kind of noisy but like a busy/cool to be there type of vibe. Don’t sleep on the buffalo chicken dumplings-pricey but well worth it. The cavatelli were rich, bursting with flavor from the sausage and mushrooms. Was full but indulged in the sticky toffee pudding-rich and buttery. Expensive and the portions looks small, but the food is rich and quality is outstanding. Great place to go for a special dinner.
