Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. The interior is multi-faceted, with a black slate tiled traditional dining room, a gorgeous 14 person capacity wooden sushi bar, a semi private "tatami" room which holds 12 people, a larger 25 person private dining room, an enclosed "back patio" casual dining room complete with tropical garden, a black concrete liquor bar with custom sake cocktails and fusion traditional cocktails. The variety of atmospheres allows for a different experience with every visit, and the vastness and quality of the menu does the same.     Toulouse has been our Christmas tradition for 15+ years. Service and food is always excellent. The hostess was superb as it was an extremely busy evening. We had reservations for 6:30 for 5 and they were running a bit late. We were comped an appetizer (a surprise as we were seated only 10 minutes late). We will definitely be returning as often as we can.

    Booked our table a month ago, was really excited to visit, The pink door doesn’t let us down. The Food was soooo good and we definitely ordered too much for two, we went straight with 4 Fresh Northwest oysters, Bagna Cauda(Hot Bath), Squid Ink Tonnarelli and Mama’s Meatballs; end up packing it for dinner the night as well, but it was so satisfying. Bagna Cauda (Hot bath) is the most amazing, knowing it’s just a “dip” for veggie, however, it’s different —- you have to try it to know how good it is.

    This is our second time visiting Messina and it is amazing. The appetizer of Sicilian Meatballs is so flavorful and reminds me of my recent trip to Sicily. The Beet salad is probably my favorite, but I left just a little room for my Short Rib Lasagna. I am going to enjoy that the next day for sure. The sauce is so flavorful, perfection in every bite.
