Mamakas Taverna is an elegant 85-seat Greek taverna on Ossington Ave. Owner Thanos Tripi brings a fresh, authentic approach to Aegean food, offering classical Greek dishes against a contemporary canvas. Where it all started. Our first location on 720 Queen Street West opened in 1992. From a storefront selling imported Italian pantry staples with only a handful of seating to our most recent renovation and expansion celebrating our 30 years of Terroni, our first ever location got a much deserved face lift, elevating both the look and function of this neighbourhood favourite while still retaining its character of being warm and inviting.Despite its modern, updated new look, the original spirit of Terroni that kicked off three decades of authentic Italian experience lives here.

    Had the time of our lives at PSP! Sat at the bar and Santana was not only helpful and accommodating, but so fun! Our server, Kevin led us through a “trust me” menu where he curated four courses for us. Every dish exceeded our expectations. We loved the prime rib special, 27 layer potatoes, lobster spaghetti and maple tart, but everything was delicious. While we didn’t order wine, we also really enjoyed chatting with head sommelier, Ian. The vibe and ambiance are perfect, especially given the smaller size of the restaurant. A must eat in Toronto!

    Fresh ingredients done deliciously. I've never had a Negroni like theirs. We did the tasting menu and we can't wait to come back with more friends to try the rest of the menu.

    We just celebrated our anniversary here, and were extremely impressed with the exemplary and friendly service, the quality and taste of the food and presentation of the food. Certainly a five-star type of bar/restaurant! Would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely return. Also received two free complimentary glasses of Prosecco.

    A local friend recommended and we had a lovely meal. Amazing wine list, fun cocktails, tons of pizza choices. We had a very good pizza and a delicious pasta dish. Our was knowledgeable and welcoming.
