Albert's Standish is a stunning restaurant and bar which also has a private dining room and 2 private event spaces. The restaurant space can accommodate dining for 200 guests and a fabulous covered and heated outside dining terrace perfect for alfresco dining.The venue has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining. The menu includes traditional British favourites like home-made Lancashire Cheese and Onion Pie as well as cuisine inspired by the family’s travels around the world. The restaurant is open Tuesday - Sunday for lunch and dinner, Saturdays and Sundays are also open for breakfast.

The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. Your hosts Mike & Julie and their superb team bring a wealth of experience in the trade and have sourced the best in the local area to tempt you.

Sokrates Greek Taverna on Winter Hey Lane in Horwich is a relaxed, friendly restaurant serving dishes from Greece, Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean. The dining room has a light and easy-going ambience like a typical Greek Taverna. The focal point of the menu is the Greek Meze which is a selection of dishes served to the middle of the table for people to share over an hour or so. It's a great way to eat and experience a variety of flavours. The Meze can be tailored for vegetarians and for special diet restrictions such as gluten or dairy intolerance. On the A'la Carte menu one can find all the popular dishes like Mousaka, Stifado and delicious Souvlaki (skewers) and Lamb Koftas cooked on real charcoal.     Our first time visiting Ewe and we was not disappointed. From walking into this lovely restaurant and being welcomed by friendly efficient staff. The dining area is a gorgeous environment and atmosphere. Food was delicious and not overly expensive. Very attentive staff but not over the top…i could not fault in anyway. We will definitely be revisiting. Thank-you

    I took my staff to this pub for a final lunch before the break and was delighted. Beer was good, food was excellent and the ambience just delightful. Highly recommend the ribs and steak.!!

    I took my granddaughter and her husband they live in Oxford we had a lovely time everything was superb could not have been better can’t wait to go back I would recommend to everyone

    Food fantastic as always King prawn pil pil starter was great value with 5 king prawns Chose the venison pie.wow. Served on hot plates My only negative was we asked for empty glasses to be removed which we did ourselves Did not detract from food Will be back
