Nestled amongst riverside treetops on Southgate’s mid level, La Camera boasts two balconies with stunning views over The Yarra River and iconic Flinders Street Station. The interior is adorned with vintage black-and-white photographs depicting the history of the family that has owned and operated the restaurant since it opened in 2000. Friday 5pm, so there was a buzz with Christmas parties all around. Thankfully we had booked, so we didn't miss out on our go-to place for steak. Scotch fillet, yum. Wifey's medium was noticably different from my medium rare and we have now been there four times, with four amazing experiences. Service was also top notch. We'll be back!

4 of us enjoyed a lovely dinner at Teatro. Our main meals, entree foccacia and tiramusu for dessert were fabulous. All staff were helpful and friendly but our waiter was exceptional. He made a great dining experience even better. Look forward to dining there again when next in the city. A perfect restaurant to dine at before attending a show at the arts centre. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely window table, the staff were so accommodating to arrange that. The food was delicious and the portions very generous, a relief as it’s not a cheap venue to eat at. I would certainly recommend Waterfront and would definitely book to eat there when we come again. Thank you.

La Camera is our go-to restaurant when we want to eat in the city, whether it’s for a pre- or after-show meal or a date night. The food is consistently good and the service is always friendly. Plus the location is great!

It was super busy. The service was a little slow. However once we ordered the food & alcohol we received it efficiently. The food was great especially the pizzas. Fresh bases & delicious toppings. A short 5 minute walk from our accomodation.
