Up until yesterday I did not even know this restaurant existed even though it’s down the street from my house and has been there for over 13 years. I happen to be on a walk and discovered it because I saw the Austrian food sign and one of my best friends is from Austria. Well, we made a reservation for dinner last night and we could not have had a better dining experience. Absolutely the best restaurant in Campbell hands-down! The wait staff was fantastic, and Joe could not be more welcoming and knowledgeable about the food and he’s quite the mixologist. I had the Hungarian goulash and it was absolutely outstanding. The meat was so moist and it fell apart. The seasoning with the paprika and the red chili slices was so good and comforting. There’s a touch of cream to give it that silkiness. My husband had the sausages three ways and it was delicious. My cousin had the Jager schnitzel. All three dishes were five stars. We can’t wait to dine there again. Oh and be sure to sit at the bar. What a great experience to be able to enjoy the kitchen and Joe as he does his thing. It was cooked perfectly with a wonderful tomato capers sauce. It was also seasoned perfectly. I also had the vegetable soup which was also excellent and season perfectly. My wife had the Caesar salad and the pasta Carbonara. The salad dressing was very good. The pasta was good but could have used a little more seasoning.
