Joseph's Culinary Pub

Chef Joseph Wrede is a Food & Wine Best New Chef, the winner of several AAA Four Diamond Awards, several DiRoNA Awards and has received both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast distinctions. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is a creation of Chef Wrede and his creative and business partners. This is the third incarnation of Wrede’s original Joseph’s Table, conceived in Taos, New Mexico, not quite 20 years ago, for which he is well known and loved within the region and beyond. Joseph’s Culinary Pub is designed to be a platform for Chef Wrede’s unique and uncompromising vision on traditional and contemporary cuisine, both regional and international. Zozobra is an an annual event that kicks off the fiesta season in Santa Fe. For this event, Murales Road will close from 7 AM–5 PM, from Valle del Sol to Cuesta del Norte for fireworks set-up, and Bishop's Lodge to Gonzales Road from 3PM-11PM. Take Gonzales Rd up to the restaurant and give yourself an extra 10 min.

Our food menu is Asian heritage cuisine reimagined. Chef-Owner Hue-Chan Karels and Executive Chef Erica Tai are reinterpreting heirloom recipes from their culinary roots to create dishes that are innovative yet steeped in tradition and culture. Originally from Mexico City, Chef Fernando Olea, formerly Chef of Epazote, has been enthralling diners in Santa Fe since 1991. Chef Olea creates sophisticated flavors using Old Mexico’s indigenous and culinary traditions alongside ingredients from around the world. His menu is deliberately small, featuring fresh and locally sourced produce and meats when possible.
Nothing evokes the mystery of Mexican cuisine more than mole, a sauce of complex flavors that usually includes toasted and ground spices, seeds, nuts, chocolate and chile. Many mole recipes contain more than thirty ingredients and some recipes have five varieties of chile alone. Chef Olea is delighted to share his moles that include his "New Mexican Mole" that he created to commemorate Santa Fe’s 400 year anniversary in 2009. The large mural in the main dining room, was painted and presented to Chef Olea by Federico Leon De La Vega, a well- known artist from Mexico City.

The Pink Adobe restaurant stands proudly in the heart of Santa Fe's historic Barrio De Analco neighborhood, which is considered the oldest neighborhood in the US. Founded in 1944 by Rosalea Murphy, an artist and social connector, the restaurant takes its name from the rose-colored adobe plastering on the nearly 400-year-old hacienda that serves as its home. This iconic Santa Fe destination at the heart of the Old Santa Fe Trail has been known for its fun, vibrant atmosphere and outstanding cuisine. Some of the famous well-known dishes are still existing such as the Steak Dunnigan, French Onion Soup and Hot Apple Pie among with new and innovative creations from our Executive Chef Mario de Leon.

Our group of 5 was well taken care of by Ally, one of the best wait staff we’ve had in ages. And everyone else who served us was great too, attentive and friendly. The food was creative and delicious. The drinks were special. The dining space was relaxing, quiet, and full of art. We all had a memorable time and would certainly recommend.

From entering the restaurant the experience at Sazón was excellent. The food was amazing including the best soup we’ve ever had. Some very creative and unique dishes and all were excellent. Starting with the mole tasting was very cool. Our server, Nick, was excellent and made great suggestions and explained the dishes in detail. Absolutely a must try restaurant in Santa Fe.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. We always look forward to visiting Santa Fe and dining here. Judith was a fabulous server and gave us spot-on recommendations! Carlos made delicious guacamole tableside. All four courses were awesome. Thank you!

My husband and I went to Sasella to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. Our server was Miguel, and he was fantastic. He made excellent recommendations on both the food and the wine. For our appetizer, we ordered a sea bass fish cake in a tomato soup base. Then, we had lobster risotto with a pesto sauce. For our main course, we had a wagyu steak in a sauteed bed of arugula. For dessert, we ordered the triple-layer almond amaretto cake. Everything was divine! I can't recommend Sasella enough. We will definitely return!
