Food and service excellent. Duck breast main was very nice

Lovely old-fashioned building. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Interesting menu, and superb meals at dinner and breakfast. We only stayed one night, and it was great. If we'd stayed longer we would have likes a "proper" enclosed shower in the bathroom - a curtain would have bees fine.

The food never fails - always delicious with hearty flavours no matter what time of year. The only downside is the bench seating can become a bit uncomfortable after more than 5 minutes and lack of attention to dead flowers in vases along the windowsill let it down slightly but this didn't stop us from enjoying our stay and food.

My brother and I took our mum out for an early Mother’s Day lunch, food was great, as was the service. Never been in before, and thought we’d give it a try. The Whippy ice cream for dessert was a fav between us all, Will definitely be revisiting.

We always like coming here - good atmosphere and alway hugely reliable with great service
