For over 20 years, New York Prime has been a sought after hot spot for any night out thanks to the lively bar and USDA prime-only menu. Every detail counts at this bustling, powerhouse steakhouse. >> We want to create a dining experience that exceeds guests’ expectations, and it’s all about timing. Reservations for 2 guests are given 1 hour 30 minutes; up to 4 is 1 hour 45 minutes; and parties of 5+ is 2 hours. You are welcome to visit the bar if your party is incomplete. We appreciate your understanding to ensure we can accommodate all our guests over the course of the evening.

    NY Prime is available for booking 7 days a week beginning at 11:00am. For your privacy you will have the option to utilize the entire restaurant or our semi-private room. We offer our full dinner menu as well as prix fixe menus that may be personalized to accommodate your needs with a minimum requirement of 20 guests or more. There are no room fees charged.

    I had a 7:15 reservation and had specifically mentioned I wanted a table in the main room as usual. Upon arrival she wanted to sit us in the bar area right next to the music. Unacceptable so we asked how long for another table and she said no more than 15-20 minutes. We said ok however that was a misrepresentation as we didn’t sit down until 45 minutes to an hour later.. A very upsetting experience considering it was also my husband’s birthday. I would appreciate any compensation you could offer.

    Another amazing dinner at NY Prime, consistently offering quality. My favorite Boca area steakhouse for food and environment. Only complaint would be it gets very loud and is hard to hear inside.

    For me, the occasion was to celebrate our ninth anniversary together with my significant other. Though the place was busy and filled with patrons. We only waited moments to get our reserve table at a very nice location within the restaurant. Our waiter and the staff were refined and wonderful. The food was amazing starting with the carpaccio which was the best I’ve ever had. We shared a large New York strip, accompanied by a few vegetables and even took some home to enjoy later. Overall, the restaurant was a great experience, especially for celebrating and occasion.

    I would like to start with a positive so I will say we were seated timely. We were presented with the wine list and disappointed that the bottle of wine that I ordered they didn’t have. This restaurant is dark and I observed people at the tables lighting up their cell phones attempting to read their menu, or bill. The cell phone lights shine on to other tables and disturb customers. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant and found it very noisy, having to frequently repeat myself. Continuing on the positives, we ordered four stone crab claw which were pricy but delicious. Next we ordered the bacon which was sweet and served with a sauce the waiter said is better than Peter Lugers. In our opinion, NY Prime is not in the same league as Lugers and I doubt ever could be. We continued on our desire to try the long awaited famous NY Strip steak. We were under the impression the steaks were aged. If these steaks were actually aged, in our opinion they lacked the flavor of a true aged steak. The steaks were cooked to order, seasoned nicely and only one out of three had grizzle. We ordered potatoes and asparagus for our sides which we enjoyed. I ordered the salmon which was a smaller portion than expected and was so dry that after one bite I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it. A piece that small must be cooked quickly as overcooking will surely dry it out. We ordered key lime pies for dessert. The pie itself was tart and tasty but sadly they topped it off with a tasteless non dairy sugar topping. That pie deserved a delicious whipped cream to make it the home run it deserved! Since it was our first time visiting this restaurant our kind waiter brought the table a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a warm peanut butter cookie.

    We had the pleasure of sitting outside last night where it was much quieter. Unfortunately it did start to drizzle. We moved our table and was able to share an umbrella with another table. The rain ended pretty quickly but it was a bit too windy for me. You never know what you’ll get sitting outdoors. The food was delicious as always. More pricey than our last visit 6 months ago. I don’t know why it went up so much. The service was very good.

    Food and service were excellent. The restaurant was packed but our server never missed a beat. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, hot and perfectly prepared. The restaurant is very noisy though.
