The Nicollet Island Inn has stood witness to over a century of change on the shores of the Mississippi River. The Inn is consistently named the most romantic restaurant in the area and its river views have been voted some of the best in the city. An immediately recognizable Minneapolis landmark, the Inn offers world-class cuisine created by Executive Chef Michael Rain , whose innovative and constantly updated menu includes a variety of seafood, steaks and gourmet specialty dishes. Our wine menu has been chosen specifically to compliment the food and highlight producers from the world's leading wine regions.

Nic's bar, just off the main dining room, is a casual, old-world tavern and the patio offers stunning views of the Minneapolis skyline. The Inn is a convenient, comfortable destination for breakfast or lunch meetings while the 3 or 5-course Sunday Brunch is the perfect weekend indulgence.

    We dined on Thanksgiving with their special and specially priced menu. My nephew had turkey and I had prime rib. Both were merely acceptable and there was no attempt to arrange the food on the plate artfully - just a blob of mashed potatoes with meat stacked on top. I would have expected prime rib to be one thick slice but they served 4 thin slices a little over cooked for my taste. Starters and deserts were okay but how can pumpkin pie have no crust? Would I go back? Probably not.

    My friend and I were able to enjoy a delicious lunch in a beautiful, quiet setting perfect for catching up. Our server was wonderful! We were welcomed, encouraged to take our time and received the very best service. The lobster rolls were yummy and the tea beautiful in its unique container and warming on a cold day. For anyone weary of extremely noisy restaurant, Nicollet Island Inn will become your favorite with its charm and beauty.

    Our first visit, and it was all delicious. Our waitress along with the rest of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything we ate was delicious. Wish there was another option or two for dessert.

    Food was delicious!! Beautiful place to dine. Our server was just so-so. He brought me the wrong drink and it took quite a while for our dessert to arrive even though there were hardly any diners left in the room. Also, that's a steep price to pay for bread. $1 a slice and one piece had a quar-sized hole in it.
