As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

    Everything was very good. Server was less attentive after entrees arrived—we had to ask for water refills twice. And it took a while to get the check. It was New Year’s Eve, so restaurant was busy. Nice Dj and midnight celebration. Handed out hats, etc. we had a great evening.

    The food is ok not fantastic. Miso black cod is good. Sashimi salad super salty. Miso soup is hot. All other hot food are lukewarm. Overall, not up to our expectation but ok.

    Great experience with a 1st timer! Our table was ready when we walked in and each interaction was smooth and suitable. The staff was attentive and kind throughout the reservation. All the food was exceptional and filling. My cocktail was sensational and it was a traditional selection. I cannot wait to return again. The consistency is amazing.

    I was so disappointed because I made a reservation for 2pm, which was the last slot for lunch time, and felt pressured to rush through my meal with my family. The staff kept telling us that the kitchen was closing and that we needed to hurry up. Would not recommend making a reservation close to the end of lunch.

    Always a fabulous meal at Nobu 57. Service is outstanding and food delicious. My favorite cocktail is Hatake. The Cod is a must always.
