O&B Canteen is a bright and casual restaurant located in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District at the TIFF Lightbox.     Food was just ok, we ordered nachos and they were mostly dry chips. Only about a half cup of topping.

    Nice buzz, excellent friendly service, very convenient location a bit away from the thick of the tourist area. Oh, and the food is good!

    O and B Canteen is the perfect lunch choice when you’re in the theatre district. Our play was 1 pm and their selection was more than ample. The presentation was beautiful too. My friends French toast was a little too sweet for her liking and maybe should be served either less strawberry sauce. My avocado toast was delicious. Refills on coffee were offered constantly which never happens anymore! This is a bright and spotless restaurant in the best location, steps from the Princess of Wales Theatre on King St.

    Having enjoyed the Margarita Pizza at O&B Canteen many times before, I was very disappointed on my most recent visit. The crust wasn’t crisp as I’d experienced previously and the sauce was quite “soupy” in texture. My partner’s fish and chips was a disappointment as well. The crust on the fish was soft rather than crisp. I’m hoping my next visit will be more enjoyable as the restaurant is so convenient to the theatres down the street!

    The staff is always very friendly and we had a personal visit from the chef. We always like going to the Canteen after a movie at the TIFF Lightbox.

    Was with my nieces for a theatre night - this place was perfect! Awesome attitude from staff - great kids menu, crayons provided for drawing and everyone felt at home (with a couple of memorable pieces of artwork resulting). Loved the menu choices for kids and adults. Perfect for pre-show dining) - and noise level still allowed for easy conversation. Will return!

    I’m not one to gush so take this as an excellent review. Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious. I wish their menu was a more extensive as I am a picky eater. This is a great pre show dining experience.
