    We visited The Oceanaire for a holiday dinner on 12/12. The location is visible from Peachtree Street, but the exterior construction made it unclear if the restaurant was open. The signage near the entrance was not very noticeable, especially when approaching from 12th Street. First impressions were mixed, with outdated décor and furnishings. The menu offered a wide variety of food, drinks, and wines. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable but occasionally too eager to upsell. Unfortunately, every cocktail drink took 20-30 minutes to arrive, which dampened the mood and disrupted the meal. Despite not being busy, a few large parties seemed to occupy the one bartender. For appetizers, we ordered sushi (8pc small portions), charred octopus (very good), crab cake (good), and Nashville hot deviled eggs (average). The deviled eggs lacked heat and flavor but had a delicious filling. Our salad arrived after the entrées, though the manager kindly offered to hold our hot meals which we declined. Main courses included sea bass (tasty but overly salted) and steaks (filet overcooked, ribeye lacked char and seasoning). The extra charge for "LOUIE" style was not worth it, as it added only small amounts of crab meat and a few tablespoons of mashed potatoes. The regular side dishes, such as wild mushrooms and truffle mashed potatoes, were good (both portion and taste). Our bill had errors that our server missed, but the manager quickly corrected them and was very courteous. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. While some seafood dishes stood out, most of the food was average. Service was hit or miss, and we expected more given the premium pricing. We’re glad we tried The Oceanaire but are unlikely to return.

    We had a really great experience here. The food was delicious. I recommend the Mediterranean Branzino. The Redfish on the half shell was also a hit according to our niece. Our server was especially helpful with recommending our oyster selections and the holiday cocktail. Truly a great evening!

    Our server, Kevin, was outstanding. I ordered the shrimp and grits, just to try something different. The shrimp were plentiful but too salty. But, the slice of cheese cake was very generous!

    My wife really enjoyed our dining experience. Everything from the way we were greeted as we entered to the establishment to our server David who provided superb service during our visit. Most importantly, the food was outstanding. I would recommend trying it for yourself.

    Decided to do this for Thanksgiving. Turned out to be a great experience for the family. The service and food were great. Beautiful ambience and quiet environment for good family time.
