    We have been to Old Ebbitt Grill and were excited to visit again. This time we were in a group of 7 and were seated outside the main restaurant in an atrium (felt like a shopping mall). The ambiance was very different in this area compared to inside the restaurant. Our waitress was very kind and seemed good, but she disappeared for long periods of time. Our meal took over 3 hours and didn’t need to take that long. The food and drinks were all very good, but we were disappointed with the experience this time.

    Meal was excellent. Disappointed that we were not on the original, historic section of the restaurant. Missed that atmosphere and energy.

    As usual, the food/service was great. We were disappointed to be seated in a hallway behind the restaurant (overflow seating) after making our reservation 5 months in advance

    Group of 6. Knew it would be crowded. Service was very inattentive. Windows seemed to be 'leaking' cool air. Food & drinks were great as usual.

    My wife is lactose intolerant and they were very careful to ensure her choices were lactose free. Our server was excellent. Our appetizer, entree and dessert were timed perfectly. The noise level was extremely high because of the number of people in the restaurant. We practically had to yell at each other sitting across the table to be heard.
