   We reserved 2 sears at the bar for 7:45pm. When we were checking in, we were told the bar was full and they couldn’t accommodate us. They put us at a small table at the end of the bar. The food and the waiter were very good , but the noise level in the bar was beyond loud. It was obvious that some of the people at the bar had been there for quite awhile.

   Our server, Justin, was fantastic. He was very informative about the food and service was outstanding. The food was great as usual. Great evening!

   An off-night at one of our favorites. They were very busy, and our server Caesar just couldn’t keep up - out of swordfish special, no water, no checking in to see how we were doing, and entrees took more than an hour to come out after ordering!! Will go back, but rough night at Ombra.

   Kyle did a good job. But, like most of the ‘good’ restaurants on the Island, right now the serving staff is short - so that each server - no matter how observant and attentive they are - just can’t ’keep every table’ totally pleased. Food was excellent - as always - but disappointed that my favorite chocolate encrusted spumoni dessert - though on the menu was not available! That dessert is one of many reasons that I love making a special visit here!

   Service was slow. I don’t think it was the waiters fault. I consider service to be a reflection of the total dining experience. The waiter mentioned slow turnaround at the bar for drinks we ordered. Waiter looked rushed and panicked by the flood of tables all at once. I can only deduce that management were not able to properly control the flow of reservations and match it up to the bar, staff resources and kitchen resources.

   Great dinner, we had a very nice time and delicious dinner. “JR or Junior” was very good, attentive professional, knowledgeable and all around excellent server. Thanks, see you again soon.

   Great Italian cuisine! Service was excellent as always. We were seated near the bar so was a little noisier than the last time we were there but not loud. They had a ton of specials…all of them tempting.n fact I changed my selection from one of my faves and the special was wonderful. We will return again next time we are on HHI!
