Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota’s premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! We go to Ophelia’s every time we are here and it NEVER disappoints! The food is amazing S is the atmosphere! We always try to sit at the bar because Billy is an absolute joy. Very professional and the best at what he does! Makes our experience even better!

Food was good. Atmosphere was acceptable considering obvious hurricane damage. Service was questionable due to 2 drinks being served that were not ordered, water glasses not refilled, and table not checked often enough by waiter. Very expensive evening for subpar service. Normally we have 4-5 star rating for this restaurant. Will try again. Hoping this visit was affected by staff shortages.

Ophelia’s is one of our favorite spots. First time visiting since the hurricanes last October. Management/owners did a remarkable job of getting the restaurant back open. They had 3 1/2 feet of water. But were able to open in two weeks. The views remain spectacular overlooking the bay. The food is a good as ever. My spouse had the halibut and I had the shrimp scampi. The shrimp was big and tender with a Chardonnay sauce and spaghetti. The halibut was cooked just right. We started with a caprese salad and a house salad. Nothing to complain about. Both were outstanding. As good as the food is, it is the view that brings us back. Also, the servers have been there for a long time so all are very professional and attend to all your requests. For the great view and great food, you will pay for it. All in including two drinks, appetizers, main courses and one coffee will cost you about $140 per person inclusive of tax and tip (20%). Still it is a worthwhile experience if you are looking for a special place. As an anecdote, at the table close to us, father and his children/spouses come every year to celebrate their mom’s birthday who passed away several years ago. They come back every year to celebrate her birthday. One doesn’t do that unless it is a special place. Enjoy!

First time back after the hurricane- patio has been expanded, but very windy and we could not eat inside. Our waiter was terrific and very attentive and the food was delicious, but receptionist was not very friendly or helpful in exploring options.

One of the best meals I have ever had! I would not hesitate to dine here again. The eggplant crepes were out of this world! Our server was very helpful in deciding what to have and was attentive. 5 stars all the way.
