Ophelia's on the Bay is one of Sarasota’s premier fine dining waterfront restaurants. Enjoy beautiful vistas of Little Sarasota Bay, from the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the dining room. Or join us for al fresco dining on our open-air patio, as the dolphins and manatee swim by. Winner of many awards both locally and nationally, including an Excellence rating from Zagat as well as being listed as the number one restaurant in America in Power and Motoryacht Magazine for dock and dine. Ophelia's on the Bay has also been voted most romantic, best waterfront and best restaurant with a view by its loyal customers. The menu changes nightly using fresh and seasonal ingredients, fresh fish flown in from all over the world and specialty meats. There is certainly something for every palate! Excellent decision for Christmas Eve! We haven’t been to this restaurant in years. The food, service, and ambiance was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their evening!

Been a few years since we have had the pleasure of eating here since we live up north. It was the best all-round meal we have had at a restaurant in the last year. The escargot wellington and the lobster bisque to start the meal were packed with flavor and richness. My mother's tiger shrimp and chicken meatballs were delicious. So much good stuff packed in the meatballs with pasta made to perfection. My wife's crusted yellowtail snapper had a good crunch to the outside with flavorful savory fish inside, especially when combined with the tropical fruit jam and the crispy plantains. The paella had so many parts that worked but my favorites were the scallops and the pork belly. To finish the meal, our server recommended a delicious apple galette with a gelato scoop on top and raspberry sauce around thr edge of the plate for extra flavor. It was delightful. The phyllo pastry in both the wellington and galette were well prepared. What a great way to start our Christmas vacation in Sarasota.

Comprehensive and inventive menu, excellently prepared food with multiple layers of flavor, beautiful presentations, very good server. We enjoyed the seared scallops, tuna tataki, beet/goat cheese salad, eggplant app, Caesar, and paella. Will return soon!

This was the fifth time we had dinner at Ophelia’s and it was awesome as always. The staff is so friendly and helpful, everything was timed perfectly. I had the best duck ever and my wife had lobster risotto that was amazing. It’s so good they were able to recover from the recent hurricanes! We will be back soon.
