Fantastic experience at the “Original” Roy’s! First time eating at this location, but food and service up to the excellent standards we experienced we started eating at Roy’s twenty years ago. We try to visit a Roy’s location during every trip to the Islands and this dinner made our Hawaiian vacation that more special!

Main entree was cold and mediocre for price. Very dated presentation (white paper doily…) and overall ambiance was old banquet hall vibes. Disappointing because we have had great meals at other Roy’s restaurants and was excited to try the “OG”.

The crew made my dinner great. Our server Mr. Kalena was so helpful and attentive along with our young buser. A wonderful start to my New Years Celebrations!

We had two of their New Year's Eve specials...the miso butterfish and the scallops and shrimp plate. Both were delicious! The dessert, gingerbread cake, was also delicious. A scoop of ice cream would have added a wonderful touch!

All of the dishes were excellent. The service was great. Initially we reserved seats at the bar and soon we were offered a table with beautiful view of the ocean. Loved the whole experience!

Spur of the moment reservation, online at 6pm and got 7:45 reservation. We went for pupu and drinks. The Roy’s Old fashioned is pretty good. We ordered the canoe for two, which was great. The order of Ahi sashimi was kinda small but ono. Also ordered the Ahi 20 sushi, and that was ono too. Finished with the Sweet bread pudding, perfect. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures. We had a really nice time and good food for great date night.

Every single employee there were tentative polite. They went out of their way to talk to you and make you feel like family manager on duty stopped and talked to us and stayed a bit was very cordial, and the food was amazing. If it would've been earlier, we would've had an amazing view on top of it.
