My spouse and I were excited to dine at this restaurant, having made an early reservation for 5:45 PM. We eagerly anticipated our evening. Upon arrival, we were seated with a stunning view of downtown, and the lively ambiance of a Saturday night added to the experience. We started by exploring the menu and ordered a cocktail, Goodman’s Legacy. It was delightful, with subtle hints of a floral paradise. For appetizers, we chose the crab cake and half a dozen raw oysters. Both were excellent and would be worth ordering again. Moving on to salads, we selected a wedge salad and a chopped salad. Unfortunately, the wedge salad included the core of the lettuce, which made it bitter and unpleasant. The chopped salad, however, was enjoyable and something we’d order again. For entrées, we had the bone marrow (nearly devoid of marrow, likely indicating it was old and dried out), rib cap (dry but edible), and prime rib (decent but not exceptional). None of these dishes impressed us enough to reorder in the future. As for sides, we tried the broccolini, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. The broccolini was average and not worth repeating, but the mashed potatoes and mac & cheese were the highlights of the meal. The total cost of our dinner exceeded $350, and while we hope this experience was a one-off, we’re uncertain about returning. Additionally, the absence of a crumber to clear crumbs detracted from the upscale dining atmosphere.

We haven’t been here in a while and still the most amazing place to dine. We had a wonderful evening even though we ate late into the night (9:00 reservations). Everything here from the steak to the lobster mac and cheese to the drinks were top notch. It’s nice to know that some places still can bring such joy.

This was our second visit to Oscar’s Steakhouse, and if possible it was even better than before. The food was delicious! Our waiter, Erik, was fantastic. And our cocktail may have been the best we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

The steaks were tender delicious and cooked perfectly. Our waitress treated us like royalty and took extra time to help us choose the best wine to go with our meal. We had a table looking down Fremont street.
