The order appetizer, salad, and entree was served served in the right sequence. The salad was served first and it was warm and limp. My crab sautéed was served first nice and hot with big lumps, however tasted like fish. Then the double crab cake entree arrived. This was all within 25 minutes after our reservation. All of this was on the table at the same time. When the server did return and asked “How’s everything?” My response was I lost my appetite because of everything delivered so quickly. His response was “Well that’s a lot of food “ We had taken a member of our party out as a guest. I tasted the appetizer, finished my salad, and brought the crab cakes home without touching them. I to wait for my second ice tea. I have been a diner of the Pappas restaurants since their begging and know the family. Ownership/Management - Engaged and interacts. Generates the vibe you are important; they are glad you are there; and encourages you to return. Wait Staff - Monica - professional; menu knowledgeable; attentive; and the table service brings you back. Meal - Maryland Crab Soup - seasoned and tasty. Mini crab cakes - seasoned and tasty. These are solid go to menu items. Consistent quality. Wheel House items. Highly recommended. Support Staff - Food expeditors; table reset Team - critical to the process. Front of the House - Dinner shift. Dining Room and Bar Side - Significantly staffed. Two (2) Team Members per entrance. The extra staff does not result in better Guest relationships. It appears there is less interaction with guests. More robotic - then interactive and inviting - Lunch shift. Meal - Maryland crab soup - bowl. Still a solid go to appetizer. Changed up and ordered the cheese burger. Prepared and seasoned. Okay bar food item. Likely will fall back to the mini crab cakes or the crab cake single. Crab related items remain a solid meal. Wait Staff - Monica - helpful; professional; interactive; and menu knowledge. Encourages return visits with demonstrated guest services. Support Staff - Food expeditors and table reset staff - operating in the back ground - they are truly part of the critical Team and guest experience. Helpful - bring meals to the tables; removing plates - with each tour of the room; Team service - asking if you require anything. Way to go!!! Ownership/Management - Circulating and engaging with guests - Priceless to borrow a word. Genuine approach and interesting conversation. Highly enjoyed our dinner. The food was very tasty. The specials provide for very good value for the money since they include soup and 2 sides. The dessert was delicious, but a surprisingly small portion of apple pie. I would have considered it a half piece, rather than a whole piece. Our service was exceptional.
