Passionfish offers a unique California dining experience with serious food and realistically priced wine in a fun and casual atmosphere. The ever-changing menu features the freshest, sustainable seafood, slow-cooked meats, organic greens, and delectable desserts, all complemented by an award-winning wine list priced nearly to retail. Passionfish is proudly owned and operated by Chef Meral Alpay and her son, Berk Guvenc. As pioneers in sustainable dining, Passionfish became the first restaurant in Monterey County to earn official ‘Green’ certification, reflecting their strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable seafood education.

    A fun place to be during the holidays. Good food and drink. We are out of state customers and will come again when we are back in the area.

    All of the dishes we ordered were delicious and perfectly prepared. The butternut squash bisque was silky and lovely, the walnut beet salad had perfectly cooked beets and a delicious dressing, my partner loved the shrimp and I had the not to be missed trout. Wines are very reasonably priced and the server is great at making suggestions.

    Passionfish is more than passionfish its passion starter, passiondesert, its passion of all things food, service, and respect of customer wants and needs. Twist on kaymak Turkish deconstructed desert excellent! Very thoughtful wine and beverage list. I was very happy to find Turkish friend there and of course a happy and efficient server Rebecca. Thanks for a wonderful night.

    We were extremely disappointed with our dinner. First, I ordered a glass of champagne which when delivered was a half a glass. We ordered the bass special which was bland and tough. I had to send my bass back as it wasn’t done. The sides were also tasteless.

    Our server ron was a highlight. He had great suggestions and stories. We enjoyed the biscuit, the calamari was tender with a light and crispy breading- so special and we duck and lamb were delicious.

    Was an awesome meal! The Smoked Trout Ceviche, Beet Salad, Duck Confit 😋, Lamb breast and Panna Cana dessert were all delicious! Service was very attentive.

    Highly recommend! Quiet atmosphere, excellent food and great wine choices. The biscuits are worth every calorie, the best! Our entree (the evening special, black cod) was delicious. Bread pudding topped everything off. A perfect evening!

    We celebrated our anniversary at Passion Fish and as always were completely satisfied. It started as we walked in the door and were greeted with anniversary wishes. Our wait staff was outstanding; the meal outrageously delicious and beautifully presented. We had an excellent evening.
