Passionfish offers a unique California dining experience with serious food and realistically priced wine in a fun and casual atmosphere. The ever-changing menu features the freshest, sustainable seafood, slow-cooked meats, organic greens, and delectable desserts, all complemented by an award-winning wine list priced nearly to retail. Passionfish is proudly owned and operated by Chef Meral Alpay and her son, Berk Guvenc. As pioneers in sustainable dining, Passionfish became the first restaurant in Monterey County to earn official ‘Green’ certification, reflecting their strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable seafood education.

    Highly recommend! Quiet atmosphere, excellent food and great wine choices. The biscuits are worth every calorie, the best! Our entree (the evening special, black cod) was delicious. Bread pudding topped everything off. A perfect evening!

    We celebrated our anniversary at Passion Fish and as always were completely satisfied. It started as we walked in the door and were greeted with anniversary wishes. Our wait staff was outstanding; the meal outrageously delicious and beautifully presented. We had an excellent evening.

    Great service, food quality was excellent. Late on a Sunday evening so it was quiet. Will go back!!

    We had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Passionfish last night. Shane was our server- he was terrific! I appreciate the “allergen menu” as I am gluten free. They are very accommodating with allergies. I had butternut squash soup & duck confit. My husband enjoyed his salad & shrimp entree. Their desserts are fabulous. We will be back on our next visit to Pacific Grove!

    Excellent service, menu offerings and wine list. Ordered ceviche, scallop for starters. Shared the warm Brussels sprout salad and enjoyed Halibut for entree. All delicious. Will return.

    Celebrated our anniversary here. One of the most pleasant dining experiences I’ve had. Everything was spot on and our server was wonderful. My wife had duck and I had their special, black cod. Nancy’s biscuit was incredible as was the scallop appetizer! They stamped our menus with “happy anniversary” and gave them to us for a souvenir.

    We’ve been to PassionFish a number of times and had excellent food, wine and service. This time, the food was good, the wine pairing ok and the service excellent. We’ll go back and try again since it is one of our favorites.

    This is definitely a Pacific Grove's gem. The food was prepared very fresh and delicious. The service was top notch and the servers made us feel special.
