Passionfish offers a unique California dining experience with serious food and realistically priced wine in a fun and casual atmosphere. The ever-changing menu features the freshest, sustainable seafood, slow-cooked meats, organic greens, and delectable desserts, all complemented by an award-winning wine list priced nearly to retail. Passionfish is proudly owned and operated by Chef Meral Alpay and her son, Berk Guvenc. As pioneers in sustainable dining, Passionfish became the first restaurant in Monterey County to earn official ‘Green’ certification, reflecting their strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable seafood education.

    My wife and I had dinner here tonight for our anniversary(1 day early). Reservation was for 7:00pm and they sat us right on time. Paola was our server.(Fantastic) We ordered the fried California squid and we split a biscuit. Then to the beet salad,which you can split easily between 2 people. Entrees, I ordered the duck , the wife ordered linguini with clams. Best duck I’ve ever had. All the rest of the food was excellent too. They also gave us dessert for free ( anniversary bonus!) Passionfish is top notch book your table today

    We haven’t been to Passionfish since 2020, but we will be coming back a lot more now! Everything was exceptional.

    A waitress who was patient and knowledgeable, but had to be reminded to attend to the table occasionally… in a slow night. Food was lovely.

    Passion fish never disappoints. We try to stop here in Monterey tea just so we can eat at Passionfish. The food is exquisite, the service is awesome.

    The staff could to have been nicer. The food was fantastic and the wine was priced reasonably. We could not have asked for more!
