A popular destination in Half Moon Bay for 30 years, Pasta Moon Restaurant serves contemporary Italian cuisine using the freshest local produce available- in fact, easily the finest dining on the coast; (and not the most expensive!). You'll find a cozy setting for lunch or dinner, surrounded by old arched casement windows which once brought light into the Burlingame Public Library, and you'll be served by an attentive and knowledgeable staff.

We had a delightful family dinner at Pasta Moon with our 92-year-old grandfather, and it couldn’t have been more special. Italian cuisine is his favorite, yet this was his first time visiting Pasta Moon—and he absolutely loved it! He ordered the puttanesca, featuring mussels, clams, and scallops, which put a unique and delicious twist on the traditional dish. Another standout was the lasagna, which was a big hit with our group. The portions were incredibly generous, and the service was impeccable—the staff made sure we always had everything we needed. It’s clear why this restaurant has been a beloved favorite for so many years. Pasta Moon truly delivers a memorable dining experience!

Overall it was good food but our server took a long time to come back. I asked for a wine menu and he dropped it off but didn’t come back to see if I wanted anything until our meal was over. The lady filling our water glasses and taking our plates was amazing though.

My sister and I went for dinner. We ordered the Brussel sprouts chips, which were so great! We both had the Caesar Salad and thought one of the best we have had. She had the salted mussels, which she liked. I had the bread soup which was also very good but for $15.00 they could have given a bigger serving. I was surprised at the level of soup in my bowl. But since I was full from the other food it worked out well. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The place was packed with patrons and a very festive dinner. Our server was great as was the entire staff. Will definitely return.

I am the biggest fan of pasta Moon. The minute I walked in, I was greeted by a wonderful hostess. The ambience was wonderful great high ceilings the service unbelievable! Fabio and Luigi were so kind, I was treated so well. I had the pomegranate, persimmon salad. It was the best salad I’ve had in four years! The Ahi Tuna linguine was so delicious I was dancing in my chair! The pasta was homemade perfectly cooked. The Aji tuna was tender and delicious! it was the best meal I’ve had in so long. I am a huge fan. The pasta is fresh. I could eat it every day. I am definitely going come here once a month.

Holiday lunch with friends. Beautiful decorations and delicious seasonal dishes. The crab pasta is a tradition we have enjoyed for years and always look forward to when it appears on the menu.

We arrived as they were closing but they still offered to serve us . The staff was very accommodating and very attentive. The food was superb. I would give this establishment more than five stars.

I came here for my grandma’s birthday. The burrata bruschetta was delicious but everything else was overpriced and bad. We ordered the linguini with tuna excited for the dish but the pasta was off. It looked and tasted like ramen noodles and when we noted that to our server they got rude and defensive rather than trying to address our concerns. The lemon meringue dessert was too sweet.
