Headed up by Chef / Owner Dave Coulson, Peace & Loaf is a restaurant unlike any other in the region. Dave has an unrivalled reputation and passion for creating flavoursome and innovative dishes, which shows with the diverse menu and delicately decorated food on offer. Highlighting the importance of using only the freshest, locally sourced produce, Peace & Loaf will offer exciting, seasonal menus that will incorporate Dave’s signature dishes. Heavily inspired by traditional British cuisine with Dave’s own inventive flare, the meticulously crafted dishes will excite and intrigue even the most discerning of palates.

    Excellent tasting menu , various choices to suit all budgets and appetites . Staff are friendly ,professional and attentive without being overbearing . Overall experience is always excellent and it’s worth the one hour drive we make to visit so I think that speaks for itself .

    EXCELLENT EXCELLENT Food & Service the food was superb & exciting with always a depth of flavour layered with surprise after surprise of textures & tastes WONDERFUL SERVICE as always is attentive and knowledgeable but never overbearing or intrusive great stuff with supporting things i.e. superb hot latte/great decaf americano with hot milk At P&L EXCELLENCE is always the normal standard

    Unbelievable tasting Menu. So many highlights. There wasn’t one okay or bad dish. Every plate that arrived, I would happily ordered as a solo course. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff. A real gem of a restaurant. Best I have been to in Newcastle

    Meeting family and celebrating a belated birthday, the food was just amazing, superb wine and the team serving us were fantastic. The ambience was perfect, no loud music and not over crowded, an absolute must if you are looking for a special meal in Newcastle.

    Amazing tasting menu with wine pairing. A truly memorable experience, the staff were very knowledgeable and attentive. I can’t express how clever and delicious the food was. Can’t wait to go back.
