Please join us!The Elgin’s 4 main principals, Peter Pernicone, Darwin Conner, Paul Baum & Christine Trauben, have known each other for 30 years. They all grew up on the lower west side of NYC in Chelsea & had a goal of owning a bar together & could not be more excited about opening The Elgin. As an acknowledgment of their collective history, they named a signature cocktail—the Chelsea 1724—after their neighborhood. Darwin & Paul grew up in Chelsea on 17th St and Peter & Christine lived on 24th St. They are joined by Patrick Callaghan who has been working with Peter for many years.

An Irish-Victorian Bar and Restaurant, just steps from Times Square and numerous Broadway plays. The interior has a distinctly late 19th century feel with wooden furnishings brought from Belfast, Ireland.Serving a wide range of domestic and international beers (30 on tap and 30 bottled). A great selection of whiskeys and wines, including some excellent wine from the Langtry Winery in California where Lillie herself owned and lived for a time.The food is traditional Pub Fare, including soups, salads, stews, fish and steaks.     First time at Elgin. Terrific meal, many varied choices. Excellent cocktails and mocktails. Great service and desserts. The hostess was very obliging when we asked to move tables out of high traffic area. We would go again.

    Always delicious & entertaining! I love a Saturday afternoon at Tommy's. The vibe is a little bit of everyone, doing everything. You have the holiday shoppers, to the tourists catcthing their breaths, and some locals just hanging out with friends! All with great, fresh food & drinks. The service was attentive yet not pushing & we lingered. We got great recommendations & the opportunity to taste our next new favorites with the coconut shrimp, roasted brussel sprouts, mahi tacos, crispy chicken sandwich with super crisp fries & non stop coconut cloud martinis! What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon in NYC! And please save room for that pina colada cake & the key lime pie!!! It will make your whole day better!

    I wish we had found this 4 days ago on our 5 day trip. This bar/restaurant is excellent. Servers are friendly chatty and very keen to please. Great drinks great food, plentiful portion size and the bar vibe with screens is also a plus. When I return to NyC definitely be back here! Michaela your lovely and made us all feel at home thanks xx
