Here, Jean‑Georges cultivates a truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England, whenever possible. Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces. Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the restaurant’s interior with a modern yet rustic sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant’s lighting, artfully conceived by Hervé Descottes, employs paper shades and Edison fixtures to create warmth throughout.

The restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. While on trips to Paris, he would wine and dine with the best of them and when he returned, he would bring back the French culture, food and wine, and share it with our new nation. Such a beautiful place with the best food I have had in a long time. The chairs at the table were so incredibly comfortable, the right amount of soft and support, and the service was incredible. Everyone there was so friendly and they checked on us perfectly so we never had to wait on another drink. I HIGHLY recommend the steak frites, the fries that come with it are the best tasting fries, it was indescribable. The ambience, food, comfort, service, everything was a 10/10 and I WILL be coming back for more. 100% recommend for everyone to try this place, it will not disappoint.

I had a party of 9. My daughter is 2yrs old and loves tea parties. We dressed up and had such a good time. My favorite tea is the ginger tea. The staff were wonderful. I will be going back to do the cake decorating. 100% recommend
