Uncle Bacala’s specializes in Italian-style seafood and other inventive dishes in its warm and cozy New Hyde Park eatery. For a tantalizing start to your meal, enjoy the mozzarella in carrozza cheese-stuffed fried country bread and the mashed potato and mozzarella croquettes, both served with marinara sauce.     We had a wonderful experience on a Monday night. The service was very attentive, and our server was familiar with every menu item. She made the best recommendations for wines to accompany our meals.  Dinner here was much more than just out to dinner, it truly was a dining experience! We will definitely be back

    In a word, Exceptional!! From the deliciously hand-crafted martini's with the most amazing hand stuffed blue cheese olives (any place who serves them should take note, because there a lot of posers out there and it makes a huge difference in the martini). The professional and friendly service was outstanding and not rushed, which is important when you are out for a nice dining experience. We began our food journey with the appetizer special of eggplant rollatini which was superb and flavorful followed by perfectly prepared rack of lamb and salmon. We will definitely be back and you should mark this one down for your food journey. Great ambiance as well!!

    We decided to try Uncle Bacalas because they were running an attractive anniversary special and we are so happy we did! The food was excellent as well as the ambiance, ( beautifully decorated … old school Italian with red checkered tablecloths). Our waiter , “Carmine” was professional and courteous and the Cosmopolitan cocktails were the best we’ve ever had! This will be a favorite spot for dinner from now on. 😊
