James Beard-nominated, Chef's Prix Fixe Tasting Experience by Executive Chef Jose Camarena, recontextualizes Mexican cuisine and culture through Storytelling. We exclusively offer a prix fixe tasting menu experience, with 7-Course and a 10-Course options. Both experiences are meant to honor the complex history that created each dish, as well as leave a lasting impact on all those who taste this beautiful food and listen to our stories. República is a tasting menu-only restaurant. We offer a 7-course menu at $128 or a 10-course menu at $150 per person. We kindly require all guests to disclose all dietary restrictions and allergies prior to their reservation. We are unable to accommodate allergies to nightshades, chile, allium, rice . Lechon is a South American dining experience that seamlessly combines the fiery cooking of Argentina, Chile and Patagonia, along with creative inspiration of the chef. Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more.     Great food and really nice service - went for our anniversary, staff were able to move us from the counter to a table and also sent us home with some cookies to help make our anniversary celebration more special. Definitely recommend!

    Exceptional service with gracious detailed descriptions of the perfectly paced courses. Wine pairings were fun, touching both new and unusual varietals as well as iconic favorites.

    Great experience! Bay Area family visiting Portland and who what of thought… chef and staff were incredible. Food was spot on and the stories along with pairings were exceptional to the experience. Can’t wait to share with others, we will definitely be back. Kudos to Republica, excellent.

    Overall, it was a nice breakfast with friendly staff. However, the omelet came with nothing else: omelet on a plate, no toast, no potatoes, nothing. That isn't very reassuring for $26. The eggs benedict were cold to the touch. The coffee was good, and again, the staff was excellent.

    We had a really memorable dinner with our 12 year old daughter who loved the pizza. The menu variety offered something for everyone. The preparation of the gnocchi (2 large rather than the smaller finger-sized) was a neat and delicious twist and the skirt steak was cooked perfectly. Our server had spot-on wine recommendations that paired nicely with our meals. Excited for a return visit.
