Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A beautiful outdoor patio is most enjoyable on warm summer days and nights as it open to the sky. The food and service at Nobu can’t be beat. Every dish, spot on perfect. Our server & team were phenomenal. He curated our food selections & really nailed it. Food portions are small. Works for me but gets expensive trying to satiate a young guy. I’d love to see the “tacos” be sized for at least two bites. We ate in the atrium area at Nobu Palo Alto. It is probably lovely in the summer when you can see the garden. On a chilly, rainy November night, it felt a bit like being in the overflow area. Could perhaps be made more inviting with a little attention.

Outstanding food, great service. Requested a special table and they remembered and sat us right there. Three courses is probably too much food, but they are very gracious about packing everything to take home.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The whole experience was superb, from the moment we arrive the staff was friendly. welcoming and very attentive. The food was incredibly delecious andservic impeccable. Could not have had a better time. We'll definitely be back.
