Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. We have been there 3 times now and every single time the food was exceptional. Every single item we have ordered salads, soup, appetizers, main courses and desserts were seasoned to perfection. I don't know how they do it, but it is always perfect. I fancy myself as quite a cook, but I am so impressed with their palates. The service is great, also, always there when you need them.

We had a guest couple from Japan, and we wanted to tale them to a place that is uniquely American. Bella Saratoga is, of course, and Italian restaurant, but its farm house building, ambience, service, and the whole concept is uniquely American. The food is always great, and service was friendly, and most importantly, our guest friends were very happy. We keep coming back to this place, and we will contuse to do so special occasions.
