No. 28 located 3 blocks from the Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention center has been putting out appetite fires since 1989 with classic American dishes inspired by the regional cooking of firehouses across the country. We were very pleased with the delicious meal we made from several small plates/appetizers, which were all perfectly prepared and nicely presented. Among the stars were the meatballs, macaroni and cheese and Brussels sprouts. But do not leave without trying the Cracked Potatoes, little chunks that are pillowy soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, with something that added an addictive umami kick. We also found cocktails and wine that perfectly complemented our diverse assortment of dishes.

Very nice restaurant the food was great the ambiance was awesome the workers did their jobs perfectly a great night for all eating and enjoying the entertainment that they provided for us definitely will go back there. A very old building where the restaurant is at.

We had the venison flautas with oxacan blue corn tortillas, and the antelope curry. Plenty to take home. Probably the BEST food you can eat in the LA area right now. If you care bout umami and your health (what you feed your body), this is the place. Generous portions. Excellent quality. Staff was excellent making my new guests feel welcome so lots of smiles all around. Make sure to read the back of the menu and all the other regenerative farms/breweries/distillaries they source from. Hoping more LA resturants become regenerative! Right now this is the only one.
