Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests. We had an awesome time celebrating my husband birthday. The manager came over and introduced himself and provide us with a photo, wine and card. The waiter was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. We definitely will return! When you make a reservation, just expect to wait at least 15-30 mins. They do offer champagne, while you wait. Overall! Awesome experience

One of our favorite high-end steakhouses for which we are willing to drive 90 miles in which to dine. The food menu is perfect and concise and the cocktail menu is outstanding. The steaks, appetizers, sides and desserts are truly Five Star and well worth the expense for the experience. The service is also excellent what one expects from such a venue.

Best Onion Soup I've had in a long time! We were seated quickly and our server, Zoe, immediately greeted us. She was friendly and checked in on us regularly. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and dress is casual. Just what I hoped for on a Saturday night! We'll be back soon!

I have been wanting to go to Cedar Hollow Inn for a long time and finally made it! What a wonderful experience from the ease of making the reservation, to the hosttess greeting to the phenomenal older waittress and the food was outstanding. I will go again, and again. Wish I went years ago :)

We had a lovely birthday dinner with family! We did appreciate being seated in a quieter part of the dining room for our celebration. Dana, our server, was wonderful!! She was welcoming and upbeat! She did everything she could to make our experience very enjoyable….completely above and beyond in her service. The food was delicious and served in very timely fashion. We look forward to returning soon!! Thank you, Chadwick’s!!
