Johnny’s Downtown, opened in 1993, is similar to the original Johnny’s Bar on Fulton Road, featuring pasta, veal and fish. We went to the Sunday. Brunch. There was a variety of fresh food. That was also hot. The presentation was great. The service was outstanding. We will definitely visit again.

Seated at a high-top in the bar, we told our amazing server Ronna that we wanted to take our time through drinks, apps, dinner and then after dinner drinks. She obliged with precision. She checked on us just enough, made sure the water and wine glasses were never empty. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the live music was an added bonus. Our only complaint, if you’d call this one, is that we’re always hoping that HP would add either a sliced red potatoe or a Yukon gold to the menu.
