A native of Italy, and fluent in five languages, Chef Gaetano Ascione brings international flair to Munster, with experience, teaching, owning restaurants, consulting, and running hotels on four continents – Asia, Europe, Africa and North America. He served both Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan as Chef de Cuisine at the Georgetown Club in Washington, D.C., and served as Executive Chef for the Inaugural Banquet for President Nelson Mandela in South Africa.He is a member of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs 1248-1950, the American Culinary Federation, and the Gruppo Virtuale Cuochi Italiani.     Oh my Goooood! Best food my husband and friends have had in a WHILE!! Positively impressed with the portions, the taste and the service. I ordered the zucchini flower, the Halibut and a passion fruit for dessert, and my husband had the octopus (soo tender!), ribeye steak and Guava cheese cake. Everything was fabulous! Can’t wait to go back!

    We went the day after Valentine’s Day and requested a booth upstairs. We were seated immediately (we did have a reservation) where we requested. They were still offering VD specials which we chose from. I ordered the half slab of rib dinner, included a half slab of fall off the bone ribs, cole slaw, and crispy delicious French fries ($24). My husband had the bang bang shrimp ($18) which came with 12 medium shrimp in a not too spicy sauce. Also, very good! We ordered a Caesar salad that was probably enough for 4 people. Overall, the service, food and atmosphere were excellent! Will definitely be back!

    Wonderful experience tonight at Coopers Hawk in Schererville. Definitely will go back. Prices were good for the portion size, but I wish they would have given more bread for the whipped Salmon spread. My wife had the skirt steak and I had the medallions. Perfection!

    We were able to sit at the counter by the window and watch all the passersby. The pimento spread was amazing and the service was incredible.
