Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Always a wonderful dining experience. The scallops and risotto appetizer is delicious. I had the pork chop for my dinner. Followed with a double espresso.
