Barney's is a restaurant serving elevated American cuisine in a "country style" Inn. Everything about the experience at Barney's is designed to reflect refined dining, from the beautiful plating to the attentive and helpful staff.Barney's menu is a fusion of new American cuisine and classic French cuisine. All of the produce used in the kitchen is procured from local vendors, The filet mignon has been voted the best on Long Island by local publications. Active and bustling, in the "Trattoria Style", this Woodbury location of Butera's offers quality food at a great value. Known for their generous portions of pasta entrees, grilled fare, and fresh fish, Butera's has established a fine reputation as a neighborhood place where guests often see people they know. It is owned and operated by Martin Butera, his wife Laurie, Martin's brother Gary Butera, and partner and chef Nick Zografos. The large open room is tastefully decorated with a traditional and contemporary mix, with rich dark woodwork and stone treatments, granite table tops, a wood and granite bar, fieldstone and hardwood floors, stone fireplace, exposed wine racks and a Tiffany style fixture at the entrance. Fresh flowers complete the handsome decor.     Found my new favorite place tonight!! From the moment I walked in I knew I would love dinner tonight. The vibe is so cozy with warm wood tones and subtle lighting making you feel like you are dining at a dear friend’s place in New England. Kathy, our superb waitress was great in describing the dishes and helping us choose. We dived into the wine flight which helped create our own pairing menu. Started with Caesar salad and then slow roasted carrots on top of ricotta - truly an outstanding dish. The squid ink pasta was delicious and the scallop special melted in my mouth. We didn’t have room for dessert and will definitely be back soon for another meal which will include dessert. Excited to have such an excellent offering close to home.

    We had dinner on Valentine’s Day at Barney’s and quickly decided to book another evening with friends. The food was excellent and the atmosphere with the fireplace going, and great service made for a wonderful evening once again.
