From an intimate dining room with an intriguing menu of savory local dishes to the sun-dappled Conservatory and dining al fresco in The Garden, the dining scene at The Vanderbilt is crackling with alluring eccentricities just waiting to be explored.Important Notes: Reservations are held for 15 minutes beyond the scheduled arrival time, and during peak service hours you may not be seated until your entire party has arrived.     We celebrated our son’s graduation from naval chaplaincy school here. Everything was wonderful! Our server was so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We had a corner table with a great view of the water. There were quite a few other groups in our area, so the noise level did rise a bit, but we could still have comfortable conversation. At the end of our meal, our server brought a card to our son, signed by the staff, congratulating him on his accomplishment! I definitely recommend The Mooring for any occasion!

    Cozy well-preserved historic building creates warm inviting atmosphere. Beef Wellington was delicious! Our waiter was very friendly and service was great. We had a great evening.

    I frequently dine at the Blue Anchor. Tonight I went for their new Wednesday pasta prix fixe. It was outstanding and well worth the money. The Pasta Bolognese was one of the best I’ve had. Kudos on another great meal.

    The service was 100% tops! Food was excellent and presented as a 4.5 Star restaurant should. Ambiance, although acceptable, needs some upgrades to decor. Lasting memory will be the service from Karen(host) and Izzy(our waitress). It's worth the trip!! John & Carroll T.
