Prelude is a restaurant that is reimagining Southern cuisine. As a team, we will produce and serve nostalgic Americana food and drink, inspired by the Bay Area. Always a great time to come and have dinner here. Brought some work colleagues and everyone was very very impressed with the flavors in the food. Tried a couple of new things this time round and the Strett Park Cauliflower and the Citrus Sea Bass did not disappoint! Great service, good drinks. Brilliant.

Three of us dined here before our show at the Curran, just one block away. Started with the large sized Cesar to share. I had 2 appetizers- I eat pasta and pizza at home. So the Kampachi crudo was great as were the meatballs. Plenty of food and a chance to try more things. One friend had the chicken leg confit over polenta and she loved it. The other had the spaghetti with clams and loved hers. A very good meal, excellent service and lively atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Outside terrace seating is the best. It’s Restaurant Week and the set menu they offered was totally worth it. Drinks, appetizers, soup, salad came as soon as we ordered, but entrees were taking a long time. we had a movie to catch so I asked for entrees and desserts to be served together, and they obliged.

Excellent friendly service. Good choice of specialty cocktails and wines by the glass, in addition to the food selection. The Wild Mushroom Fettuccine was especially rich and filling. It was our first time here, but we'll be back again.
