Bar Mezzana is a coastal Italian restaurant by Chef Colin Lynch at Ink Block in Boston’s South End, specializing in crudo and hand-made pasta. The Merchant is a big space that served for more than a century as a leather store. We've brought in high-top tables near the windows ... a 40-foot bar on one side of the room … and more formal dining spots on the opposite side. We have a private dining room in back, and another private dining room downstairs. For our menu, we make almost all of our fare from scratch. Executive chef Ignacio Lopez previously worked at both Beat Hotel in Cambridge and Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington. Chef Lopez cures and smokes all the meat in house. Our burger is top-notch, as are other dishes like house-made Gnochhi, Organic Chicken Milanaise and Steak Frites. The Merchant serves salads, sandwiches ($15-$21), and more for the lunch rush. And for dinner, we are a full-service brasserie (with most entrees ranging from $25-$30). The bar has 30+ rotating beers on tap, many of them locally brewed, plus a full selection of craft cocktails to serve our patrons, including the after-work crowd.

    Wonderful Valentine’s Day experience! We were able to dine in an igloo on the terrace. The vibes were immaculate & our server was super attentive and pleasant! The food was so good and presentation was lovely. Definitely a spot worth checking out (& they validate parking!)

    This place never disappoints! It was a perfect place to go for Valentine’s Day! As usual the food and drinks were delicious and the staff was so friendly and accommodating with food allergies. Thank you! Can’t wait to go back.

    Really appreciated the server's/establishments flexibility on a busy night. I had a root canal that morning, so had to ask for my meal (classic burger) with everything on the side (bacon, cheese, carmemlized onion, etc). They did it with a smile and I really appreciated it.

    Henry and Brittani were so amazing and knowledgeable. The ambiance was everything and the food was AMAZING. you’ve got to try and the squash and apple suppli (unreal) and seriously the draft dirty martini with the Calabrian chile olives was delicious.

    Our server was absolutely wonderful! The food top notch as before. The only thing was that it felt as though the restaurant was a little short staffed.
