Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities. In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

Prelude is a restaurant that is reimagining Southern cuisine. As a team, we will produce and serve nostalgic Americana food and drink, inspired by the Bay Area. We will be using some of the best produce in the world, combining modern high-level cooking techniques and recipes passed down through the generations of our Chef Celtin Hendrickson-Jones maternal family. Nisei presents a contemporary approach to Japanese American cuisine by combining deep Japanese flavors, refined cooking technique, and Northern California's finest ingredients. The restaurant is a personal reflection of Chef David Yoshimura's unique experience as a Michelin starred chef and second generation Japanese American, or Nisei. Nisei can accommodate most severe allergies with advance notice, however due to the nature of the tasting menu format, we can not meet all dietary restrictions or aversions. In order to maintain the spirit of our cuisine, the following items can not be removed: Salt, sugar, soy sauce, and egg cooked into items.All Experience prices below reflect a 20% Service Fee and 8.63% SF Sales Tax applied to the base price of each experience. This Service Fee goes towards paying our employees a livable wage as well as providing health insurance.

    Very cute and cozy restaurant tucked back from the street. The starter bread rolls are so delicious, large wine list and half bottles as well. Got the pappardelle with duck and it was amazing. Start to finish, had a great dining experience.

    Fun menu with emphasis on plates to share, creative use of seasonal ingredients and the pita bread is to die for. The Breaking Bread appetizer sampler is a must order. Lamb chops were divine. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive, but not overly so--made for a delicious, relaxing weekday lunch with girlfriends.

    Gary Danko continues to shine after more than 25 years in business! The service is so elevated, it is like no other restaurant in San Francisco. The menu is broad and it’s difficult to choose between options, but everything you order will be simply amazing! We ordered the lobster salad, seafood risotto, lamb loin and filet of beef. Each course was beautifully presented and sumptuously prepared. We found room in our appetites for the cheese board(don’t miss this!) and profiteroles and sorbet trio. It was all mouthwatering. They have an extensive wine list and we are connoisseur of wine, but ordered two wines we have never had before and they were fantastic. Because it was our anniversary we were also treated with an additional complementary mini deserts, each a burst of flavor. Every diner also got a very nice surprise to take home and enjoy the next day and we surely did ! Gary Danko restaurant staff ,you are incredible and we can’t wait to return again .

    Three of us dined here before our show at the Curran, just one block away. Started with the large sized Cesar to share. I had 2 appetizers- I eat pasta and pizza at home. So the Kampachi crudo was great as were the meatballs. Plenty of food and a chance to try more things. One friend had the chicken leg confit over polenta and she loved it. The other had the spaghetti with clams and loved hers. A very good meal, excellent service and lively atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

    4 kiwis bowled up based on a recommendation from our local wine shop. Great service friendly and welcoming great knowledge of the wine and food available. Very enjoyable night. Thanks to the great Londoner who looked after us so well
