Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. Casa Vega serves everything from traditional chicken mole, a plethora of burrito options, combination plates and specialty options, such as carne chile Colorade and the signature Casa Vega molcajete. We celebrated our anniversary with some friends and had a wonderful evening! Luis took great care of us and he had very warm and pleasant demeanor. The food is always perfectly cooked and delicious. Thanks for the chocolate soufflé with the candles to top off the evening!

We love Panzanella, the food is excellent and the service is great. We come at least once a week, it’s delicious food and the atmosphere is so pleasant. The outdoor seating and the orange Vespa on display make you feel like you just escape to Italy.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing first time at Larsen’s, celebrating his birthday. Although the plaza where Larsen’s Encino is located is undergoing remodeling, once you step into the restaurant, you’re completely transformed to another place. Great dim lighting, live piano, and classic steakhouse look. Rita, the hostess, was absolutely amazing. Grant, our server, took it to the next level with his great service. Alongside already amazing food, this wonderful restaurant captivated us into making sure we come back for more.
