General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. Family dinner, 7 of us and everything was perfect. The wine suggestion, the service, and every plate, appetizer, mains and dessert was presented well and tasted amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful definitely will be going back.

We went because the food is excellent. My daughter is Vegan. Unfortunately they have replaced the sourdough bread with a lesser quality non vegan bread which is a shame. Fortunately, our experienced waitress was able to rustle up something, so kudos to her. Note to management. Consider your clients needs ahead of cost decisions.
