We are a Laotian restaurant in the heart of the neighborhood of Shaw. Baan Mae means Mom's house in Laotian. Chef Seng of Thip Khao and Padaek is serving up dishes reminiscent of her home kitchen and her mother's kitchen. Mom's House Reservation Policy:All reservations are allowed a 15-minute grace period. Andrea, Ernesto and the blond woman (I didn’t catch her name but she’s awesome). You have an incredible staff with a lot of passion. They clearly appreciate both the food and drinks. Thank god! One of the first restaurants in dc we’ve truly felt at home! We will be back. With friends. Thank you.

It is pure fine dining. The food is delicious from start to finish and the money you spend is worth it. The drinks presentation wise are elaborate, but maybe not needed.
