In January 2015 the original owners sold the business to Sunset Hospitality Group, a Santa Cruz family owned and operated company. We completed a full remodel of the restaurant, reinvented the food and service and opened May 7, 2015. The new Margaritaville is dedicated to serving made from scratch Mexican seafood in a first class casual environment. I ordered corned beef hash. It was not corned beef, but chunks of bacon (?), Ordered eggs over med, the whites were still runny. My friend had a club sandwich which is enjoyed. Waitress was very nice, service was good. Food never quite measures up. By the way, they were not busy at all.

Return of head chef Ben Hillan has brought a refreshed menu of locally sourced fish, meat and produce. Highly recommend the Black Cod, Dungeness Crab Salad, Prosciutto wrapped Halibut and Steak Bavette.
