Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events. Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Homemade house guacamole, or one of the many soup or salad options, make for a great starter. The entree options are plentiful. Casa Vega serves everything from traditional chicken mole, a plethora of burrito options, combination plates and specialty options, such as carne chile Colorade and the signature Casa Vega molcajete. Diners can enjoy some of the most authentic French food in the valley when they visit Le Petit Restaurant. With the air of a bistro that has come straight from a Paris street, Le Petit serves French fare and adds its own California twist.     To dine at Musso & Frank’s Grill is to have an experience like no other in LA: old world style, dishes that have long since disappeared from the menus of any other of its competitors and the pleasure of knowing that one is dining in a space that has probably catered for virtually every great name ever to have graced Hollywood in the course of the past century. Look beyond the cheap and tawdry pseudo glamour of the rest of the Hollywood strip and allow yourself the pleasure of an authentic experience you will never forget, long after the memory of all the dross of the surrounding razzmatazz has faded into oblivion. Worth every penny twice over.
