Oma's Hideaway is a vibrant, maximalist restaurant inspired by the life and spirit of Chef Thomas Pisha Duffly's grandmother, Kiong Tien “Tina” Vandenberg. Her ability to adapt, to make the most out of limited resources, and to stay creative while projecting warmth and brightness is the guiding force behind Oma’s Hideaway.Born during the pandemic as a pop-up in the Gado Gado parking lot, Oma’s became a permanent beacon of iridescent light in Portland’s Richmond neighborhood in 2021. The menu draws from Tina’s life story, taking influence from the craveable, soul-satisfying hawker food of Singapore and Malaysia and “turning up the volume” with exaggerated yet balanced flavors in Chef Tom’s signature style. Oma’s serves dinner accompanied by a seasonal list of hand-crafted cocktails and zero-proof drinks.

Bar Dolly, a new wine and cocktail destination from the Sesame Collective Restaurant Group, serves as a companion bar to next door sister southern Italian restaurant Dolly Olive. Bar Dolly offers anextensive collection of Mediterranean wines, and regional dishes. The spritz menu includes Italian classics like Aperol spritzes and Bicicletas and the house Negroni is an instant classic, poured tableside. Bar Dolly shares a kitchen with Dolly Olive, which centers around Southern Mediterranean ingredients and flavors, with an emphasis on an in house bakery program, fresh made pastas and other dishes that are treated simply and presented elegantly.     I am blown away by the food, ambiance, and the service I received! It was my birthday and they not only accommodated a large party, they made sure to work with us when ordering! I also got a round of mini maitai slushies and a giant rice krispie. We ordered the whole menu (party of 7) and were full and satisfied with everything. This is definitely a new favorite of mine!

    Outstanding food and service that matched. Great recommendations from a friendly and attentive waiter. The food and drinks were amazing. Pork chops were breathtaking. The Dosalas Margarita (x2!) was spectacular. And ending the lovely evening with flan was life-changing. :) Obviously, I loved this place as a new neighbor!

    Our meal at Tartuca was the best we’ve had in a while! This neighborhood spot does Italian pasta like none other in Portland. Service was warm and well attentive and the food was phenomenal. We recommend ordering off the extensive wine list. Jeff, the manager, is very knowledgeable and made us recommendations to pair with our meal. We will be back!

    We sat at the bar and were entertained by the lady behind the bar expertly concocting delicious drinks Our drinks were really good even the nonalcoholic one. The food was very tasty and quite creative. We had excellent service. It was not cheap but I would definitely go again
